Do you not think that could possibly be a bit offensive to actual followers of that religion? Since to them bindis actually mean something more than pretty trendy jewelry stuck to their foreheads?

i’m offending an entire faith by liking one of its customs so much that i imitate it…

guess that means wearing turbans as fashion items as hundreds of people do is also offensive.

they sell rosary beads in topshop and river island as fashion items

and crucifix earrings, necklaces etc

and hundreds of other fashion pieces influenced by religious imagery. i’m sure nobody is crying over that

so..
